Lote Magnolia - Guatemala

Lote Magnolia receives its name from a geographical region of Jilotepeque called Las Magnolias. As COSAMAJ, they liked the idea of separating out lots by the various geographical regions in Jilotepeque. 

Time has passed, and this group has grown from 6 to 8 producers. This consolidated group includes: Jaime Ruano, Santiago Lopez, Sarbelio Car (current president of the COSAMAJ Cooperative), Sergio Roca, Antonio Roca, Jose Garcia, Federico Roca, and Augusto Ruano, all of whom are the pillars of this group. Over the years, they have dedicated their harvest to our lots, which requires great faith, especially during peak market season.

This group has had the opportunity to meet several roasters since we began our relationship. This has helped change their perspective on the coffee cherry harvest. Instead of seeing the future as something unknown, they now have a mental image of the people who will eventually buy their coffee. It is this image that motivates them to do an even better job. For them, being able to invest in these relationships means a better future for their children, who will eventually follow in their footsteps.
